About Me

I have dedicated the last 11 years to studying Spanish, beginning my freshman year of high school and continuing through my current pursuit of a Master of Arts in Spanish with a concentration in Literature and Hispanic Studies. I received my B.A in Spanish from Wofford College in 2024 with a minor in Business. During my time at Wofford, I was a member of the inaugural softball team. I am currently a Teaching Assistant at the University of Georgia. I teach SPAN 1001 and assist a tenured professor with her SPAN4030: Latinx in the United States. I have been tutoring Spanish since my senior year of high school. My tutoring experience includes working with students at Wofford College as well as throughout my graduate studies. I enjoy working with adults and firmly believe that it is never too late to learn a new language. I am currently learning Portuguese as well!

My approach to language learning prioritizes real-world application and meaningful conversation, helping students build both fluency and confidence in their communication skills. I fell in love with language and literature because of their power to connect people across cultures and around the world. Simply put, the two things I love most are books and people. It’s my dream to foster this connection within my own students allowing them to see the world through a new lens that embraces diverse languages and cultures.

Beyond teaching, I also work in the publishing industry and plan to pursue a full-time career in publishing after graduating in May 2026 while continuing to connect with and support tutoring clients.

I currently live in Athens, Georgia, with my partner and my dog, Arya—named after Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching TV, and spending time with friends and family.
