About me
I have dedicated the last 11 years to studying Spanish, beginning my freshman year of high school and continuing through my current pursuit of a Master of Arts in Spanish with a concentration in Literature and Hispanic Studies. I received my B.A in Spanish from Wofford College in 2024 with a minor in Business. During my time at Wofford, I was a member of the inaugural softball team. I am currently a Teaching Assistant at the University of Georgia and have been tutoring Spanish since my senior year of high school. My tutoring experience includes working with students at Wofford College as well as throughout my graduate studies. I enjoy working with adults and firmly believe that it is never too late to learn a new language. I am currently learning Portuguese as well!
My approach to language learning prioritizes real-world application and meaningful conversation, helping students build both fluency and confidence in their communication skills. I fell in love with language and literature because of their power to connect people across cultures and around the world. Simply put, the two things I love most are books and people. It’s my dream to foster this connection within my own students allowing them to see the world through a new lens that embraces diverse languages and cultures.
Beyond teaching, I also work in the publishing industry and plan to pursue a full-time career in publishing after graduating in May 2026 while continuing to connect with and support tutoring clients.
I currently live in Athens, Georgia, with my partner and my lovely dog, Arya—named after Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching TV, and spending time with friends and family.
Class Structure
What to expect when you book with me!
For all of my packages, you can expect our sessions to take place through zoom.
The consultation is used to learn more about your personal goals, experiences, and difficulties learning Spanish. After our consultation, I will create a google folder to share with that contains your personal learning goals, plans, and activities.
Each session focuses on applying grammar and vocabularly to enhance the opportunity for language immersion. Therefore, the specialized grammar and vocab that we are working on will be done before coming to the session. This allows for real world application of the activities you do on your own! These activites will come with a recorded video by me, that explain grammar rules and tricks to remembering vocab. Remember, learning a language is difficult and takes some practice but we will improve together!

Spanish for Beginners 1:
This course is designed for learners with little to no prior experience with Spanish. Students will build a strong foundation through practical grammar and vocabulary that can be used in real-life situations. Topics include greetings, basic sentence structure, and forming basic paragraphs in the present tense to use in conversation. As students gain confidence and mastery, the course may also introduce an overview of the past tense to support continued growth and fluency.
Spanish for Beginners 2:
Spanish for Beginners II is ideal for learners who already have a solid understanding of present-tense verb conjugations and are ready to move toward more advanced concepts. This course expands on prior knowledge by introducing more complex grammar, including the future tense, past tense review, and an introduction to the subjunctive. Students will continue to strengthen their skills through deeper grammatical exploration and increased language use in context.

Are you looking to learn Spanish alongside your friends? You’re in the right place. We offer group classes that are tailored towards students with previous Spanish experience. It is best if the group has a similar Spanish level!
The Conversation Class is designed for learners with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Spanish grammar who are looking for a supportive space to actively practice speaking. It is also ideal for students who have strong listening and comprehension skills but want more opportunities to build confidence and fluency in conversation. This class is primarily conversation-based and does not include structured grammar instruction; however, grammar points may be reviewed or expanded upon organically as they arise during discussion to support continued language development.
These specialized packages are designed for individuals who want to learn Spanish specifically for professional use. Courses are tailored for those working in fields such as law, healthcare, or education, particularly professionals who interact with Spanish speakers in their daily work. Instruction focuses on industry-specific vocabulary and practical conversation skills, ensuring learners gain the language tools they need to communicate confidently and effectively in their field.
